Since 1987, the AIDS Clinical Trials Unit (ACTU) at New York City's Beth Israel Medical Center has been at the forefront of the fight to improve the clinical care and quality of life for people living with HIV and AIDS. We offer access to cutting edge clinical trials that seek to develop novel antiretroviral medications and other treatment strategies to manage HIV and the related opportunistic infections. We are also conducting research into complications of the disease such as HIV-associated lipodystrophy, peripheral neuropathy and hepatitis.
